Message from the Chief Secretary

The Manipur Staff Selection Commission was established with the mandate to conduct examinations for the selection of candidates for appointments to subordinate services and posts under the Government of Manipur.

The operationalisation of the Commission marks a significant step towardsfostering public trust in the State's recruitment system by ensuring transparency andfairness.

I congratulate the Commission on the launch of their official website, which represents a crucial step in providing timely and accessible information to the public. The integration of Information Technology will play a transformative role in modernising and streamlining the recruitment process. I am confident that the Commission will continue to take further progressive steps to strengthen its functioning and uphold the highest standards of integrity and efficiency.

Message from the Chairperson

At the very outset, I welcome one and all to the newly launched website of Manipur Staff Selection Commission (MSSC), which has started functioning w.e.f. 2nd September, 2024 at the Extension Training Centre Office Building of RD & PR Department located within the office complex of DC Office, Imphal West, Lamphelpat with few skeleton officers/officials assigned to the Commission in addition to their normal duties, who are also looking after other Departments.

The main objective of the newly established Commission is to conduct examination and select candidates for appointment to the subordinate services/posts to the Government Departments, Organizations and Autonomous Bodies, Semi-Government Organizations etc.

About Manipur Staff Selection Commission

The Manipur Staff Selection Commission was established by the Governor of Manipur on 1st September, 2022 under The Manipur Staff Selection Commission Act, 2022 (Manipur Act No. 10 of 2022). This act was enacted to provide for constitution of Manipur Staff Selection Commission for the purpose of conducting examinations and selection of candidates for appointments to the subordinate services/posts in the Government Departments, Organizations and Autonomous bodies established/constituted by the Government and Semi-Government Organizations etc. and also to provide the procedure to be followed by the Manipur Staff Selection Commission, its functions and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. It extends to the whole of the State of Manipur.

The mission of the Manipur Staff Selection Commission is to conduct fair, transparent, and merit-based recruitment for various posts under the Government of Manipur. By upholding the principles of integrity, efficiency, and inclusivity, the Commission strives to:

Facilitate a robust selection process that identifies capable and dedicated individuals to serve the state.
Promote equal opportunity for all eligible candidates, ensuring no discrimination based on gender, caste, religion, or background.
